Foxconn Case Study

Vietnam Value framework picked: â€Å"Achievement Disease In Education† 1. In any nation, training assumes a significant job to advance the improvement of all financial matters and society. Be that as it may, with strategies for training for such a long time which don't fit the necessities of the new period, Vietnam instruction is creating uninvolved â€Å"people† who is acceptable at hypothesis however awful at training. Understudies and even educators these days are consistently under a lot of weight from the alleged â€Å"Achievement ease†.Vietnamese fixation of having any sort of â€Å"achievement† makes a negative impact in instruction. While understudies are having weight of getting passing marks In request to satisfy their folks' will, instructors likewise need to ensure the entirety of their understudies get great imprints to meet the school's chosen accomplishment. This may sound self-evident, anyway there are understudies who are acceptable at ma th however not great In science, who cherishes study and who don't. Subsequently, scholarly deceptive nature Like duping test Is probably going to be happen often these days.My endeavor In this paper s to contribute my voice to recognize and cause individuals to see increasingly about this reality in training in Vietnam just as offering proposal to dispose of this circumstance. 2. The meaning of â€Å"Achievement Disease†: â€Å"Achievement† just is an achievement in whatever objectives you've set for yourself, not really procuring a great deal of cash. Accomplishment is doing what you need to do inside the limits of the law. It Is the quest for dreams. It is freedom from the chains of dread and unbelief. It Is acknowledgment of what makes you interesting and what you bring to the table others. It Is the acknowledgment, the substance, and the unmistakably of a fantasy satisfied. In this manner, we can comprehend that â€Å"Achievement Disease in education† is a k ind of sickness which individuals take a stab at looking to seeks after accomplishments at any expense even with doing unscrupulousness or deceptive conduct. With respect to above clarification, taking endeavors to seek after accomplishments of an individual or a gathering is a decent good character. It ought to be recognize and urge to each people.Just envision a nation where each part takes endeavors to accomplish better on the fields of exercises: sports, expressions, instruction, producing, exchange, innovation, etc for his/her on purpose and for the entire network. The nation Is positively rich and prosperous In Its economy just as society. Be that as it may, when these endeavors to accomplish a decent and vital characteristics of every which makes the framework be debased. To improve the meaning of this term, we should simply think about the essential contrasts between â€Å"original achievements† with â€Å"Achievement Disease† is the diverse between certifiable products and forging goods. And the key factor that has the effect is the existed or non-existed of onsets. 3. As indicated by Murray (1938), he thought about that requirement for accomplishments as one of the essential human needs. 4. Degree Appreciation is a difficult issue in Vietnam Society these days. Actually, the brain research of degree gratefulness is fundamental and stays innocuous in the event that it goes with an appropriate accreditation instrument, which mirrors one's capacity through the degree. Japan is viewed as the most succeeded nation in seeking after degree appreciation. Here, the worker evaluation depends intensely on their degree which trigger a solid rivalry in the society.People are asking to get alluvial degrees to guarantee their reason for progress. Notwithstanding, this is an entirely unexpected story in Vietnam. In a ton of cases, the degrees are not related with real limit of the proprietors. In Vietnam, the vast majority believe that the most ideal ap proach to seek after fruitful in life is to get acceptable college degree. This is by all accounts an enormous weight makes by guardians and the general public, which powers the youngsters to attempt their best to satisfy their folks. Tragically, numerous youngsters who don't pass this weight fell into dread and sadness feeling, even prompts suicide. It is an excruciating truth seeing numerous understudies obligation 12 hours every day, 7 days per week for the periodical accomplishments which are for the most part futile later on. At present, each Vietnamese family and individual has a craving that they themselves or relatives could accomplish a college degree. This is really one sort of â€Å"achievement disease† which prompts the reality of excess in instructors however lack in laborers and the more hazardous sickness of â€Å"actual degree yet reenacted man†. In a general public where individuals just acknowledge instructive degree however think little of the genuine capacity of people may prompts serious results on the society:In Vietnam, we could without much of a stretch discover data in regards to the shades of malice of degree purchasing, point selling, scholastic degree selling, etc†¦. Because of the way that high positions consistently oblige better degree, as a rule an individual is advanced in a higher position yet he doesn't meet the position degree models. Accordingly, he should purchase a decent degree to satisfy the advancement necessities or to keep the current position. Along these lines in Vietnamese language we have an expression called: â€Å"Paper P. H. D or Paper Master† that suggests individuals who utilize their cash to purchase counterfeit declarations or degrees. Not up to this point does the anecdote about the phony degrees and testaments shows up, it has been existed for a long time since the start of â€Å"Doi Mom† strategy. Individuals consistently want to have a situation in the general public. Any way at â€Å"old age, depleted intelligence†, a great many people need more an ideal opportunity to concentrate appropriately to get Due to the degree gratefulness that has been established in most family, from kindergarten period till secondary school, guardians consistently attempt to have their kids concentrate in conceded schools and chose classes or additional investigation so their kids could be seeped to pass colleges entrance examinations. As an outcome, some of alleged â€Å"granted school† is constantly over-burden and came up short on opening. In any case, so as to send their youngsters to those schools and orchestrate at the best class, guardians are regularly willing to â€Å"bribe† educators. Nonetheless, we can't accuse the guardians since they are only the survivors of the degree prerequisites society. The circumstance is that the individuals who have more degrees or higher qualifiers will be best than those have less. They don't test the genuine ability of the people yet rather checking whether the individual demonstrations all the degree rules or not.One other effect of â€Å"Achievement Disease† is that youngsters these days will in general pick the significant which assist them with acquiring cash and advancement after graduation or simple to consider. Simultaneously, they walk out on the general public and mankind major, agriculture†¦ It is said that the motivation behind why youngsters betray the sociologies and humanities is the awful impression from the secondary school training. There is an understood qualification among primary and minor subjects. Math, material science, science, unknown dialects are in every case painstakingly educated by the teachers.Meanwhile, different subjects, for example, writing, history, geology is by all accounts instructed quickly since educators don't generally think about what understudy gained during the course. Then again, numerous understudies consider not taking need le arning social subjects since they think that its harder to secure Position and get low installment. A ton of understudies state that the alumni from sociologies could just secure Position in government organizations where they need to work inside the structure like a robot as opposed to creation.Other reason is that the monstrous development of banking and business organizations rates a great deal of Job openings with significant compensations draws in numerous understudies thus that the greater part of them pick monetary majors. As a chain impact, understudies consistently pick financial matters to concentrate as a safe choice and disregard their actual energy and leisure activity. Additionally, since in Vietnam society understudies of financial matters are probably going to be more valued and regarded instead of study sociology or humankind. The â€Å"Achievement Disease† additionally seems, by all accounts, to be occurred at school. For model, in many schools, the most conc erns are the means by which to enable the understudy to concentrate well and the proportion of graduated understudies. Toward the start of every year, most schools need to appoint an objective setting towards the proportion of graduate understudy. On the off chance that toward the end school doesn't make its own rules, it will hurt its notoriety which may bring about less ventures from more elevated levels. As the arrangement, in a great deal of schools, instructors are doled out to change the understudies score so as to fulfill the school's guideline. This makes a fundamentally negative impact to the training part and makes it be increasingly undermined. , Remedies to this circumstance: ought to be a coordination and understanding between each administration levels to rest an appropriate arrangement. Assessment and quality assessment must be executed truly. The training part needs to have a drawn out technique for the extreme arrangement, synchronize yet not hurried and eager. We n eed to remain consistency to our objective yet the strategies must be entirely adaptable and fit for changes when required. At present, we have to reinforce the review of assessment, giving carefully endorses to the individual or gathering of individuals who intentionally attempt to abuse the rules. On the interim government should concentrating metal on giving additional instruction to instructors so they can adapt up to demonstrate showing techniques, expanding interest in foundations and offices to schools. When the nature of instruction is on a very basic level improved, â€Å"Achievement Disease† will in the long run be wiped out. Simultaneously, we need to advance, supports persuade educators and training directors endeavoring to defeat the obsolete, dormancy of the old instruction frameworks. This will be a long procedure of taken a stab at training division specifically and

One division oversaw by Barbara Tucker benefits the Douglas Medical Center and has been one of the best areas. As of late this area has been encountering a higher pace of turnover causing worry among overseeing staff about its causes just as its potential arrangements. Since the greater part of these occupations are low-expertise in nature, substitution of these representatives has been simple; anyway it has achieved an expanded expense, and uncovers a more profound issue inside organization spirit. To get the purpose for the brought down spirit, a ten-question study was directed of existing workers to comprehend organization qualities just as territories for required improvement. Representatives were posed inquiries, for example, do your appreciate working at BIMS, are you paid decently, does the board treat you well, and do you make the most of your allocated move (University of Phoenix Material, 2013) . As a 24-hour activity theory run from representatives not working the occasions they need, to tending to worker pride in their work that joins reasonable treatment by administrative staff individuals and reasonable remuneration for administrations gave. Debbie Horner, the HR director liable for this review felt the issue was gathered in worker inspiration and felt this was the zone that required most improvement. Potential answers for this are motivation rivalries, move changes, and change in administrative way to deal with singular needs to raise worker self-esteem and fulfillment. Both quantitative and subjective information was gathered from the overview. Utilizing the quantitative information the Human Resource Manager Debbie Horner suggested conversation starters that changed from the numbers one through five. One was the most exceedingly awful evaluating and five was the best. Using this information the human asset chief was empowered to increase an all the more clear point of view on how individuals felt about functioning for this association. She uses subjective information to find the sexual orientation of the members, what position they hold inside the organization and the time span that the individual has been utilized with the organization (University of Phoenix Material, 2013). The reason for existing is to get the general assessment of the members. The technique for gathered information was through a review that was reached out to 449 of the company’s representatives. The BIMS overview incorporates ten inquiries that are explicit to the inquiries that are in index A. From that point, follows with five inquiries that will help partition a portion of the socioeconomics of the appropriate responses from the initial ten inquiries. The factors and estimations that are being utilized are assisting with finding and recognize why the representative assurance levels are so low. The principal set of inquiries has an answer extend from one through five. This is an ordinal degree of estimation. The numbers are utilized as levels of significance, instead of answers. This variable additionally can be estimated by this scale so the degree of estimation is ordinal. Various degrees of estimation need to utilize distinctive measurable strategies (University of Phoenix Material, 2013). For questions A, C, and D the degree of estimation is ostensible. The request the inquiries are posed doesn't make a difference, and they qualify as subjective information. The inquiries pose for the representatives to portray and arrange themselves as administrator, boss, male, female and what division they work in. For question B the degree of estimation is proportion. The inquiry has a zero worth. The inquiry pose to what extent somebody has worked for BIMS. Since this inquiry can't create a negative answer, for the measure of time they have worked there the level utilized is proportion. The BIMS representative review information is coded numerically on the ordinal, proportion, and ostensible levels. The information from Column one speaks to the 78 overview members who are numbered from one to 78. In section two through 11 of the informational index speaks to overview addresses one through 10. Every one of the members has been solicited to each respond to each from the inquiries with a one to five rating, one being sure and five being negative. The reactions from the review were recorded and put in lines and segments of the informational collection. On the off chance that the overview member didn't respond to an inquiry, a zero is recorded (University of Phoenix Material, 2013). In the wake of evaluating the information, mistakes have been found. There were sixes instead of the fives. Debbie Horner would include the information and rather than a five she was putting a six. The sixes must be changed. In any case, Debbie didn't make a blunder in the coding of to what extent every worker has worked there; Debbie changed over the years into months. In this area the six was right and didn't should be amended (University of Phoenix Material, 2013). The end that was made was with the all out staff rising to 452 laborers, there was just a 17. 3percent reaction rate. There were just 78 reactions out of 452. The spirit of the staff is low, and even with the worry the HR administrator appears in making the survey, the appropriate responses can't be decided by the reaction as a result of the low return rate given (University of Phoenix Material, 2013). In the event that there had been more workers sufficiently concerned to offer their input, at that point this review could be utilized in the examination. Be that as it may, since relatively few took an interest, Team A feels this was uncertain. These answers are one-sided on the grounds that lone 7 individuals worked in Maintenance. There were 36 replied by Food representatives and 35 replied by Housekeeping. It is an uncalled for advantage and insufficient individuals addressed the study (University of Phoenix Material, 2013). Determination Team An introduced the BIMS circumstance as a diagram issue, reason, look into questions, and theories. There was a portrayal of the instrument utilized for information assortment for this paper. The paper recognized the quantitative and subjective information gathered and how the information was gathered. There was additionally distinguishing proof fair and square of estimation for every one of the factors engaged with the examination. The paper gave portrayal of how the information is coded and assessed the system utilized. Group A cleaned the information by wiping out the information input blunders made.

Money Growth Rule Essay Example For Students

Cash Growth Rule Essay Cash Growth RuleThe Money Growth Rule depends on a hypothesis initially set out by Milton Friedman as an answer for keep the United States economy on a controlled course of development. The thoery rotates around the reason that the best fiscal approach that the Federal Reserve can follow is to set up a steady development pace of the cash flexibly free of current monetary changes. The thinking is that as the economy encounters changes in relative yield, the cash flexibly can have emotional impacts upon the economy. Furthermore, by setting up a cash development rule, Friedman accepted this would wipe out the chance of short-run fumble and, at long last, be progressively useful for the economy. The issue with adjusting an economy is that human judgment and assessment of financial circumstances go into the condition. Building up a consistent development level in the cash gracefully would kill the dynamic procedure of the national investor. The issue with human intercession is the short-sided nature of a considerable lot of the strategies intended to help the economy. Such intercessions, which yields unintended negative outcomes, is the consequence of the time irregularity issue. This issue is comprehended through circumstances during which national financiers direct money related approach in an optional manner and seek after expansionary strategies that are appealing in the short-run, however lead to inconvenient since quite a while ago run results. Friedman accepts that by leaving cash development choices to an individual, the outcomes are poor since quite a while ago run administration and in the long run high expansion rates, an undeniable drawback to the economy. The possibility of the cash development rule is dependent upon the connection between the cash gracefully and expansion. Along these lines, the inquiry emerges whether there even is a connection between cash flexibly and expansion. As expressed before, one can see a connection among cash and swelling. Introduced above is arrangement information that shows this connection between cash flexibly and the swelling rate over the earlier decades. The issue is that there are changes inside the information and subsequently a more extensive meaning of the cash flexibly should be used. In view of the exploration of Dr. Terry J. Fitzgerald, a business analyst at the Cleveland Federal Reserve Bank, in the event that one characterizes cash gracefully as M2, while looking at the information over a various year movement, an example starts to introduce itself. Further, by charting the distinction between balanced cash development and expansion, the connection gets obvious. These diagrams show the wei ght that changes to the cash flexibly can have upon an economys expansion rate. Adjusting the cash flexibly can be inconvenient. Unmistakably, getting excessively engaged with tinkering with the economy will accomplish more damage than anything else. The issue is that the full impact of an activity doesn't become acknowledged on account of a period slack. Restorative activities will require a couple of financial quarters so as to assess whether it has been viable. The private segment is moderately steady; accordingly the administration ought not turn out to be excessively included, yet rather follow some similarity or a consistent development approach. A progressively liberal perspective on target development rule would be not to focus on a particular rate, yet rather focus on a specific scope of qualities. This progressively liberal hypothesis despite everything follows a similar focal thought that the private area is moderately steady and government intercession can be unfavorable. In any case, the objective is currently to pick an increasingly adaptable understanding of Friedmans rule. By building up an objective range, one gets the advantage of consistent development rule. The range basically fills in as limits for singular dynamic and keeps approach creators from making a move that will build the cash flexibly and expansion. In any case, the range can make up for sensational occasions, for example, September 11, 2001, where prompt and emotional activity gets fundamental. As one business analyst from the Bank of Canada expressed, we will probably maintain a strategic distance from debacles, similar to the expansion of the 1970s . Whatever else is a bonus.Eliminating the capacity to change the rate basically ties the Feds hands and expels the capacity of financial arrangement to fill in as a pad to the economy. Embracing an increasingly liberal Money Growth Rule appears to offer the best of the two universes by taking into consideration reasonable and limited optional activity. .u8a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366 , .u8a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366 .postImageUrl , .u8a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366 .focused content territory { min-tallness: 80px; position: relative; } .u8a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366 , .u8a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366:hover , .u8a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366:visited , .u8a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366:active { border:0!important; } .u8a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366 .clearfix:after { content: ; show: table; clear: both; } .u8a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366 { show: square; change: foundation shading 250ms; webkit-progress: foundation shading 250ms; width: 100%; haziness: 1; progress: mistiness 250ms; webkit-progress: obscurity 250ms; foundation shading: #95A5A6; } .u8a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366:active , .u8a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366:hover { darkness: 1; progress: murkiness 250ms; webkit-change: obscurity 250ms; foundation shading: #2C3E50; } .u8a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366 .focused content region { width: 100%; position: r elative; } .u8a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366 .ctaText { fringe base: 0 strong #fff; shading: #2980B9; text dimension: 16px; textual style weight: striking; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; content enrichment: underline; } .u8a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366 .postTitle { shading: #FFFFFF; text dimension: 16px; text style weight: 600; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; width: 100%; } .u8a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366 .ctaButton { foundation shading: #7F8C8D!important; shading: #2980B9; outskirt: none; outskirt sweep: 3px; box-shadow: none; text dimension: 14px; text style weight: intense; line-stature: 26px; moz-outskirt span: 3px; content adjust: focus; content enhancement: none; content shadow: none; width: 80px; min-tallness: 80px; foundation: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/modules/intelly-related-posts/resources/pictures/straightforward arrow.png)no-rehash; position: total; right: 0; top: 0; } .u8a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366:hover .ctaButton { foundation shading: #34495E!important; } .u8 a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366 .focused content { show: table; stature: 80px; cushioning left: 18px; top: 0; } .u8a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366-content { show: table-cell; edge: 0; cushioning: 0; cushioning right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-adjust: center; width: 100%; } .u8a9798d525b5fab50edb6d8629e3d366:after { content: ; show: square; clear: both; } READ: The Life Of George Washington EssayIdeally, the Federal Reserve is set up to diminish expansion and help manage the economy. It is not necessarily the case that the objective of low expansion is unwanted, but instead that the Federal Reserve should move toward the circumstance from a multi year point of view, as opposed to dispensing with the control of the cash flexibly all together. In doing as such, this will permit adaptability inside the economy, while as yet protecting controlling development over a time span to decrease swelling. http://www.stern.nyu.edu/nroubini/NOTES/CHAP6.HTM#topic5Words/Pages : 792/24

For instance, the person might say, “Well, as you might know, most start on the stock floor but surprisingly, a lot of my colleagues actually were in banking first”. A question like this helps you to understand the basics of the industry. But occasionally, you might also learn something new or surprising!3. WHAT PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE HAS HELPED YOU THE MOST?You can dig deeper into the requirements of the role by examining the person’s career path. You shouldn’t attend the informational interview without having an understanding of the person’s career path up to this point. You can simply look at their LinkedIn page and see how they’ve gotten to the position they are in â€" the education they have obtained and the roles they’ve worked in. But you can then ask about this route and see which specific jobs or courses they point out as the most important. You might learn about the common things like having a specific degree and so on. But the person might also point out interesting things like taking a gap year because it taught them about leadership and so on.The experiences they mention can help you prepare for the role. You can find similar experiences in your past to highlight in the application or pursue certain routes that might benefit you. 4. WHAT IS THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE BETWEEN YOUR PREVIOUS ROLE AT X TO YOUR ROLE HERE AT Y?As mentioned, you should be aware of the general work history of the person you’re talking to. Now, ask them about the specific route. You want to know if they realized their job X was the wrong choice and so how did they get to job Y. Perhaps they think moving from job X was necessary for gaining job Y. More importantly, if they are holding similar jobs but at different companies, you really want to pay att ention to their answer. Why did they change companies? What is better or worse in the current role? You must understand that they probably don’t want to talk bad about their past or current employer. You’re not there to dig dirt, so to speak. You simply want to get some insights into differences between companies and the way they operate. Your career path might not always take you directly to your dream company so it’s a good idea to learn more about the different options out there.5. WHAT DO YOU LIKE/DISLIKE THE MOST ABOUT YOUR ROLE?Of course, it’s crucial to understand the person’s motivations and to figure out if your career desires and motivations fall within those. The big question is what do they most love or like about the job. This is important because it might teach you something new or interesting about the role. Perhaps they enjoy a menial task like being able to do a lot of organizing in the role. Maybe the person enjoys the fact that they meet lots of people. W hatever it is, you can see whether the aspect might be something you’d enjoy or not. Not everything in a job is likeable and people do often find certain aspects annoying or challenging. You should also ask about these least favorite parts of the role. The answers will, again, reveal a lot â€" perhaps you wouldn’t even find those parts a negative aspect!6. WHAT IS THE MOST SURPRISING/UNUSUAL THING ABOUT YOUR DAY-TO-DAY WORK?When you examine career guides and job profiles, even on company websites, you often get a generic view of the role and position. The truth is, the same role can look different in different companies and there are many things people in those positions might do that you haven’t thought about. Asking about the actual day-to-day live in the job can be very revealing. You want to dig deeper and really get an idea what the mundane things look like. So ask the person to tell about the so-called boring stuff they do every day. This ensures you understand what your days might look like aside from the bigger things that appeal to you. 7. WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE DIFFERENTLY IN YOUR CAREER PATH?We all make mistakes and have regrets. The beauty of mistakes is, however, that you and others can learn from them. Therefore, it’s a good idea to ask if the person your interviewing has any big regrets â€" any insights into what you definitely shouldn’t do. It doesn’t have to be anything huge. Perhaps the person hopes they would have learned to code earlier or taken language classes. Maybe they feel they should have been hungrier and asked for a promotion earlier. All these little things can help you understand the path and to avoid making those same mistakes with your career. 8. WHERE DO YOU SEE THE ROLE/INDUSTRY HEADING IN THE NEXT 10 YEARS?Many of today’s jobs didn’t look quite the same a decade or two ago. Technology has changed a lot and things like AI, machine learning and so on will continue to transform careers and the wider society. So you want to get an idea where your ideal career and industry might be heading to prepare for it and to know if you even like the direction.A person working in the industry will know more about the changes that are on the horizon. They will be able to make judgements and predictions that you can then use as guidance when thinking about the appeal of the industry. This information is not only good in terms of figuring out whether you’d still enjoy the job in 10 years time. It also helps you in preparation â€" you can shine at the job interview because you have inside ideas on the direction of the sector.9. WHAT ARE SOME OF THE BEST WAYS TO STAY ON TOP OF THE INDUSTRY?Information is power and you will never stop learning. Each industry has a lot of special publications, blogs, people and so on you should follow to learn more about it. You can ask about these from the person and get on top of what’s happening. This kind of information will help you in two ways. First, you learn abou t new resources that might help you decide whether this career path is for you. But you will also get the opportunity to prepare for the role or others in the industry. You learn more and so you can excel in the interview.10. WHAT TYPE OF PERSONALITY WOULD BEST FIT THE COMPANY?Companies have their specific company culture and this results in them often picking certain types of personalities. For example, a company with a strict hierarchical culture needs to have personalities who don’t reject authority but excel in it. Learning about company culture and the kind of person who excels in the environment is important. Now, this isn’t just an important question to ask when you’re specifically interested in a specific company. This can also give you insight into the role in general and the kind of personalities who do well in that job. You get an idea of the ‘right fit’ and this helps you in the application process â€" especially, of course, if you choose to pursue a career in t hat particular company.11. CAN YOU LOOK AT MY RESUME AND GIVE SOME TIPS?Always have your updated resume with you when you’re meeting people for professional purposes! It can be a valuable ‘business card’ to hand out to people and it’s especially crucial to have it with you at an informational interview.Ask if the person would be willing to look at your resume and give tips. Perhaps they know the format you’re using is not the best for this particular industry or they think you’re not highlighting the right skills. Any advice they can give can be valuable in terms of your application process. In some instances, the person might be impressed with the interest you’ve shown and the skills you have that they want to take the resume and give it to the HR department in their company! Things like this can happen so don’t forget about this important part of networking.12. WHAT IS THE BEST CAREER ADVICE YOU’RE RECEIVED?As mentioned at the start, you don’t want the intervie w just to be about your ambitions and hunger for information. You can show your appreciation and interest toward the other person by asking them this question. The answer is not necessarily going to be directly linked to the role or the industry. But it will, nonetheless, act as a professional tip, from one person to another. You learn what they think is the most important thing to keep in mind in terms of being professionally satisfied. The question will always help in a networking sense because it creates a deeper connection between you and the person. So always ask it â€" perhaps at the end of the interview.13. WHAT ARE THE BEST WAYS TO PREPARE FOR THIS ROLE?You want the informational interview to give you a good idea on whether you’d like to pursue this career path or not. If the answer is to go for it, you want to start your preparations. You want to ask the person for tips on what are the specific actions you should take.Perhaps you should take a specific course or maybe there is someone else you could talk to in order to prepare. The person can provide you with valuable help in identifying the preparing steps and getting your hands in on valuable information on the application processes within the field.14. WHO COULD I TALK TO ABOUT THE ROLE FOR MORE INFORMATION?A big part of informational interviews is to network with the right people. The person you’re talking to might have a lot of valuable information but they might also know someone who actually has more information. In fact, you don’t always have to talk to people with the exact job you want but rather find those who can direct you to those people first.Don’t forget to thank the person for the valuable information but also to check if they know anyone who might be able to still help you. Perhaps they know someone in another company or someone who did the exact same career move. Whatever contact details you get, always use them!NAILING YOUR INFORMATION INTERVIEW QUESTIONSThe above 14 question s will be beneficial to you when you’re meeting up with someone. They will help you understand whether the career or industry might be for you and help you in preparing for the career move. Now, when you are conducting an informational interview and talking to people, you should remember three key things during the interview:Research the person/company/roleFocus on the information you want to knowUse the opportunity to networkDon’t walk into the interview without any background research. You should have a basic understanding of the person’s work history, what the role is like and what the company is doing. This is about getting a deeper insight and hearing personal stories and opinions, not a Google search! The whole point is to clear any questions/queries you might have. Don’t ask about money if you don’t care or waste time talking about education qualifications if you really don’t care to know. Think before what you actually want to know about the role or industry. Other wise, you’re wasting everyone’s time. The information might not be the world’s most insightful. You might not learn that much valuable information. But you always make a connection so use the interview to network. Especially in terms of growing your network! With these tips in mind and the 14 questions in your head, you can walk into an informational interview with confidence and focus. You’ll be able to get a better insight into a career or industry that might turn out to be your dream career!

Existential Counselling Essay - 2750 Words

Existential Counselling (Essay Sample) Content: EXISTENTIAL COUNSELINGName:Institution:Course:Tutor:Date:THE VIEW OF HUMAN NATURE ACCORDING TO EXISTENTIAL THEORYExistential counseling approach is mainly built upon solving the problems and dilemma that surrounds human existence. This theory deviates from a deterministic view of human nature and rather focuses on the liberties that human beings have in making choices about different occurrences in life. (Cooper, 2003 p119) It ranks human nature as beings that are in a continuous dynamic change and transformation, living in large numbers around them in an environment full of strengths, weaknesses, limitations and opportunities. The context at which human nature lives, and coexists with one another creates all these challenges and opportunities. With a lot of emphases given to the context at which they live, the environment is a significant influence of human behavior. It provides values and morals to learn. But the existential counseling approach puts challenges human s to exercise their ideals, priorities and values. Ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s all about living an authentic lifestyle. The authentic lifestyle means living a real-self, following oneà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s emotions and feelings. (Deurzen Adams 2011, p 55)This theory views human beings as porous and therefore permissible to personal and environmental influences. The main focus of existential theorist is to help clients get a connection with their real selves and make rational choices according to what their real self demands, rather than been permissible to personal and contextual influences. When humans are capacitated to see themselves in their real self they acquire potential to improve and eventually grow. Existential theorists have postulated that when humans are influenced by public opinion and the context around them, they enter in a state of fallenness (Plock, 1997 p 112). In such a state, humans absorb values, beliefs and ideas and of other people and tend lose their individuality. In a nutshell, humans under this state become obscured by superficial influences and immensely lose focus on their ability to demonstrate their authentic nature and self. This approach encourages humans to make their own rational choices, and determine their role in other social organizations like the family, society and community.MAJOR CONCEPTS REGARDING HUMAN BEHAVIOUR, MENTAL HEALTH AND CAUSES OF PSYOCHOLOGICAL PROBLEMSExistential theory focuses on four key premises regarding human behavior. These premises are considered inevitable in the existence of human nature and they include death, isolation, meaningless and freedom. When psychologists are administering existential therapy they mainly deal with emotional anxiety that emanates from an individualà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s accomplishment and undertakings, whether achieved conscious or unconscious (Deurzen, 2002 p114). This is done in a bid to help clients deal with sophisticated facts of life that are as a result of a personà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s very existence.Th e realization of death and the fact that ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s certain brings unexpected terror to humans; everybody would wish to continue living. But the good of life is cut short by the inevitable death, both our death and the sudden loss of our loved ones. This premise is certainly the most common and can be well demonstrated by how human beings maneuver to extend the life through use of science and technology. In regard to freedom, we cannot avoid the liberty we enjoy and the way we use it, perhaps, in building ourselves and creating a better world to live in. Through our human behavior, the world gives us enough freedoms so that we can construct our life stories (Barnett, 2009 p89).On the other hand, existential isolation has to do with the inevitable fact that, despite our close relationships with one another, there is a principle separateness that individuals cannot dislodge themselves from. This utmost loneliness of the human behavior, Is what make humans realize that they enter an d leave the world alone notwithstanding the strong integration that people have with one another. The last premise is meaninglessness, it implies void of any worthiness in living. When human beings lack a well structured sense of direction or a tested plan for their life and perhaps realize that there lacks meaning innate in the world, they fall in the hands of meaninglessness. Human beings, were made with an ability to be create, therefore they create their own reality and find meaning of life, which in effect gives them structure and direction. The meaning of life can only be discovered by the individual rather autonomous sources from the self. The desire to pursue meaning in life is the greatest motivation for a worth living (Cooper, 2003 p120).Human being experience limited ability to make choices in life and this triggers an existential anxiety, because the consequences of making such choices presented to them may not be well defined. Existential anxieties cause psychological pr oblems which are characterized by nervous feeling and worries. Such nervous feelings and worries are basically caused by the four premises of human behavior discussed above. The realization of death, isolation, freedom and meaningfulness are the major causes of psychological problems as postulated by this theory. For instance, the unfortunate occurrence of death and the failure to know the consequences that might arise in future trigger existential anxiety. Existential anxiety has to do with how humans react to the duty of creating meaning in the way things happen in life (Deurzen Adams 2011, p154).Human nature is made with the ability of creativity, and this helps them in clarifying issues and making rational verdicts. However, existential anxiety can be mild and result to neurotic anxiety. Usually, people experience neurotic anxiety when they undergo excess existential anxiety or when they deliberately try to avoid it to levels at which it limits growth. Neurotic anxiety shows it self as lack of a subjective sense of free decision and the incapacity to take responsible actions for ourselves. This significantly affects the mental health, and patients tend to lose touch with the external world. Our ability for self-awareness is an important component of human development. Neurotic anxiety prevents this self-awareness and tends to inactivate people. Existential theorists have noted that the best way to cope with existential anxiety is through seeking integration with others and forming meaningful relationships.THERAPEUTIC TECHNIQUES RELEVANT TO EXISTENTIAL COUNSELINGThe main aim of existential therapy is not based on liberalizing the patient from anxiety, but rather helping them accept their own values, bear with them, and most important live well with them. The therapist maneuvers with the major concern their patients, actually to evade imposing their own verdicts, to help the patient elucidate and ponder on their own view points, with a major goal of making t he patients live their live real. The therapist has to man the patient carefully to learn and question the patientà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s biases and prejudices. The therapist must encounter the patient with an open mind and try to set aside their own pre-judgments (Deurzen Adams 2011, p155). The technique demands that, the therapists should adopt a gullible relationship with the patient; with a deliberate aim of understanding the clientà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s view point rather than imposing their own assumptions and beliefs. In so doing, the therapist is able to understand the clientà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s underlying assumptions, themes of life and beliefs. The therapist is now able to navigate through the weakness, limitations and responsibilities of the patient together with strengths, opportunities and freedoms. Most important is that, the therapist can easily establish the meaning which the patient attaches to their own thoughts, emotions, traditions, beliefs and personal past. (Plock, 1997 p 112)However, it mu st be noted that existential counseling does not tie the therapist to any specific technique and or an interventionist method. It is only imperative for the therapist to demonstrate high levels of empathy and compassion to the clients during the examination period. The examination process should be carried out as philosophical discourse about the life of the patient. This approach basically, tries to show the client the means in which they are not living an authentic life, and therefore the therapist should help them make choices that will make them become their real selves. In addition, the key issues in existential counseling are freedom and responsibility. The therapist attitude is the basic techniques that can help the patient assume responsibility. The therapist must consistently show the patient that they have a personal responsibility to their own miseries. This can be done by trying to establish what function the patient plays in their own predicament and possibly maneuver a way to communicate this role to the patient (Plock, 1997 p 112).Sometimes, the clientà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬s predicaments may be as a result of autonomous forces or even endogenously induced forces. Notwithstanding, the cause of the predicament, there cannot be an incentive to transformation unless the patient realizes that they bear surmountable responsibility in their own predicaments.APPLICABILITY OF EXISTENTIAL THEORY AND THE PROBLEMS IT SOLVESExistential counseling is best suitable for patients who see own problems as frontiers of challenges, instead of signs of psychopathology. It is also applicable to persons who are constantly in pursuit of self-awareness and self-evaluation. Patients are undergoing a personal philosophical examination and inquest for its meaning will certainly be helped by this approach. By this token, the theory suits patients pursuing clarity of their own viewpoints, personal adversity a...

Understanding Of The Discipline Before The Course Started

Introduction Being in relationship with someone requires you to spend time with them. Growing a relationship does not always require talking to the other person or doing things with them but just being in their presence. Practicing the presence of God allows you to think constantly of God and to spend time with him in any situation. As we draw on God with our thoughts and make time for Him, He will make himself known more to us. James 4:8(NKJV) Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Calhoun defines the desire of practicing the presence as to develop a continual openness and awareness of Christ s presence living in me.
